Terrorism has many forms – placement of bombs in crowded locations, bombs carried by a person into crowded areas or heavy vehicles driven into a crowd of people.

Many locations can be protected against such threats by concrete blocks, large rocks etc. blocking the path – or at least slowing the vehicles down.

However, the air is still open for more sophisticated threats.

Drones – even when not carrying any explosives – may create panic in a crowd with dire consequences.
If drones do carry explosives, it could be a disaster.
